« Crap »

I purchased this iron a few years ago because I had heard great things. I'm black with relaxer, but I don't relax my hair bone-straight (it's more texlaxed). So when my hair is wet, it's still curly.

I am afraid to use it on wet hair, but I have used it on dry hair. And it did nothing but literally FLATTEN my curl. It was still wavy, but just flat. I looked like Flat Stanley's long lost black sister.

I ended up giving this iron away to my sister and sticking with my Chi Turbo.

« So far so good »

I have only used this once since purchase, but compared to my last cheapie flatiron, it works great. I did blow dry my hair first, but really didn't straighten it while blowdrying like I had to before, and my hair turned out nice. It was soft and it stayed straight for at least a few days with quick touchups. Like I said, I haven't used it enough to give a great review, and I am hoping it doesn't break like some of the other reviews said.

It is an amazing straightener! Quick and does the job right :) I am very happy with it and if you get it you will be also. It doesn't pull the hair at all. But watch out because your hair will get extremly HOT. Overall great product.

« Great Iron »

I bought this exact iron over 3 years ago and I have loved it. I have thick, curly hair and this gets it really straight and it doesn't get frizzy at all. It does take much longer to do your hair wet to dry, but it does work. It's still a great iron for dry hair. Just recently the cord covering started to separate and it the wires have been shorting out. I think it's time for a new one, an upgrade. I will say that days after I bought it, I had a problem similar to what other reviewers have mentioned. It wouldn't turn on at all and I was pissed, but I went and tried it again the next day and it worked fine ever since.
