« What I've been looking for »

I have had many fountains. I looked at this fountain for a long time before I bought it. I've paid a considerable amount of money for other fountains. This is exactly what I want, running water that I can hear. That doesn't slop all over the place, that doesn't make me think that I have a drippy sink.
The lights are ok because I don't use it in a bedroom. In fact, they add, you can see the water play. Initially the motor noise was non existent, but after a day I could hear it, it is not distracting. I can hear the water and other room noise drowns it out.
When my eyes need a break from my computer screen, I can watch the water. I find it very soothing on many levels. It is both yin and yang.

« greatest fountain ever »

I now own three of this style fountains. The sound is so relaxing. The lighting is very peaceful. I have tried many fountains, but none sound this good. That includes one fountain that cost $ 500.00. I am listening to it right now.

« Just right, and here's why. »

After reading a few reviews, I decided to give this fountain a go. There is a small area in my office that needs perking up, and what better way to do it than with flowing water?

This fountain is well-packed in the box. Homedics does a great job of engineering their packing. Nothing moves inside the box, so there is little chance of a unit coming to you damaged. After unpacking, the unit is easily assembled.

NOTE: be aware that the pump may or may not sit completely on the bottom of the fountain, depending on how tightly you tighten the tube that takes the water up to the top. Mine is barely sitting on the bottom, but it doesn't appear to make any difference.

The fountain's filling directions are easy, and provide exactly the right amount of water. The lower tier seems to allow rocks to slip down into the reservoir from time to time for no reason, so if your lower tier is looking bare, you know where they went!

I use mine in a fairly dry office, but don't notice much evaporation. Keep this fountain full and you'll be fine.

OTHER NOTES:
My pump speed is set to roughly 50%, I keep rocks on the top tier and under the flowing water, and have zero splash. I'm not sure if the people reporting a large amount of splash simply have too many rocks in those areas (or not enough) or have the pump set too high, but splash doesn't seem to be an issue with this fountain.

The design is great, with water flowing in multiple directions. The LEDs are, to be admitted, very bright when viewed head-on. My fountain sits at a slight angle, and the water appears to sparkle instead. Sure, if I get down at eye level and look directly at it, it is strong, but this shouldn't be a major concern.

Overall, the Envirascape River Bend fountain is a perfect fit for my office. The footprint is just the right size, it generates enough trickling water noise to provide some background in the office, and looks great. Highly recommended.

« nice fountain »

fountain worked and was fairly simple to put together. i couldnt find directions on how to put it together, but i figured it out on my own. i heard how you could adjust the noise level, but all the settings to me sound the same. it sounds like dripping water and you cant hear the pump.

« "I love this Fountain...." »

I just purchased this fountain a few days ago, and it sits on my desk, in my home. I just love it. I totaly agree with the reviewer "84WIDE "Movie Connaisseur", about this fountain, with the one exception...The LED lights are just a little bright, so I just painted over mine with thick water color paint...one blue, one green and one yellow. You can see a picture I up-loaded in the gallery photos. I think it looks very nice now, just a little subdued...I also changed the rocks...to ones just a little more white. The fountain is nice and quite, except for the water....just right..I love it !!!
